Common Areas

The Formal Parlor, truly a step back in time

This room is furnished with pieces carved by master craftsmen of the 19th century.                                                                                          The Victorian Rococo rosewood parlor set – sofa, armchair and lady’s chair – is attributed to                                                                        Prudent Mallard, the New Orleans icon whose name is associated with fine 19th century furniture.

The Family Parlor, a comfortable and informal space

Luxurious leather furniture invites groups or individuals to gather and relax – watching television,
playing board games, reading and maybe taking time for private reflection.

The Hunt Room, a more rustic area with a masculine décor

Serious hunters will appreciate the details of impressive trophies that share wall space with a flat screen
cable television. Upscale leather furniture provides a place to simply relax or share conversation.

The Veranda, sun porch with a panoramic view of the hills and river valley

Breakfast is served at a choice of tables for two or a dining table that accommodates larger groups of family and friends.
Both coffee and hot teas are always available for guests to serve themselves.

The Office, furnished with desk and printer

This semi-private space provides an area for guests who need to stay connected with life’s ever-present responsibilities and obligations.

The Kitchen, a busy place at breakfast time

We are happy to share refrigerator and freezer space with guests at other times, within the limits of our capacity.
